Community Guidelines

VialTalk is a peptide research community built on transparency, mutual respect, and honest discussion. These guidelines apply to everything you post—forum threads, reviews, journals, profiles, and messages. They exist to keep this community a trustworthy place for everyone.

Core Principles

🔬
Research First

Frame discussions as research and personal experience, not medical advice. Always encourage consulting healthcare professionals.

🤝
Be Honest

Share genuine experiences. Don’t fake reviews, impersonate others, or misrepresent products or research.

💬
Be Respectful

Disagree constructively. Attack ideas, not people. Everyone here is learning.

🛡️
Keep It Safe

Don’t share personal information about others. Don’t post illegal content. Don’t solicit controlled substances.

What’s Not Allowed

The following categories describe content and behavior that violate our community standards. Severity indicates how seriously we treat violations—higher severity means faster escalation.

🚫
Spam & Self-Promotion
Medium

Unsolicited advertising, affiliate links, repetitive promotional content, or posts with no community value.

Examples

  • Posting the same link across multiple threads
  • Creating threads solely to promote a product or service
  • Affiliate or referral link spam
🛡️
Harassment & Abuse
Critical

Targeted attacks, threats, bullying, doxxing, or sustained hostile behavior toward another member. This includes discriminatory language based on identity.

Examples

  • Personal attacks or name-calling directed at a specific member
  • Sharing someone’s personal information without consent
  • Threatening language or intimidation
⚠️
Dangerous Health Claims
High

Presenting unverified dosage protocols as medical advice, recommending peptides for unapproved conditions without disclaimers, or discouraging members from consulting healthcare providers. VialTalk is a research community, not a medical resource.

Examples

  • Telling someone to "take X mg of Y for condition Z" without research context
  • Discouraging someone from seeing a doctor
  • Presenting personal experience as universal medical guidance
🗞️
Misinformation
High

Deliberately false claims about vendors, products, or research outcomes. Includes fabricated test results, fake COA references, or knowingly inaccurate vendor claims.

Examples

  • Posting fabricated lab results or COA documents
  • Making false claims about a vendor’s business practices
  • Deliberately misrepresenting published research findings
Fake or Manipulated Reviews
Critical

Reviews written by the vendor, vendor employees, or compensated parties. Includes review bombing, coordinated negative campaigns, and quid-pro-quo review exchanges.

Examples

  • A vendor writing reviews for their own products
  • Coordinated negative reviews targeting a competitor
  • Offering discounts or free product in exchange for positive reviews
🎭
Impersonation & Fraud
Critical

Pretending to be another member, vendor, or authority figure. Includes sock puppet accounts, fake vendor identities, and misleading credentials.

Examples

  • Creating an account with a name designed to impersonate another user
  • Claiming to be a vendor representative without authorization
  • Operating multiple accounts to manipulate discussions or reviews
🚨
Illegal Content
Critical

Content that violates U.S. federal or state law, including controlled substance solicitation, explicit minor-related content, or content facilitating criminal activity.

Examples

  • Soliciting or offering controlled substances
  • Facilitating illegal transactions
  • Content that violates intellectual property rights
🚯
Sensitive or Graphic Content
Medium

Graphic images, disturbing content, or explicit material not relevant to peptide research. Includes injection site images without appropriate context or tagging.

Examples

  • Graphic medical images posted without warning or context
  • Explicit or violent content unrelated to research
  • Disturbing images in thread thumbnails or avatars
📢
Vendor Promotional Abuse
Medium

Vendors exceeding their tier posting limits, posting thinly-veiled advertisements as community content, using discount codes outside designated areas, or soliciting business via direct messages.

Examples

  • Posting promotional content disguised as a community discussion
  • Sharing discount codes in forum threads instead of the Deals section
  • Unsolicited vendor DMs to regular members
🤝
Community Conduct
Low

General disruptive behavior that undermines productive discussion. This includes excessive off-topic posting, thread hijacking, passive-aggressive tone policing, or persistent low-effort contributions.

Examples

  • Derailing a thread with unrelated arguments
  • Repeatedly posting one-word or low-effort replies
  • Engaging in persistent negativity without constructive intent

How We Enforce These Guidelines

We use a graduated enforcement approach. The response depends on the severity of the violation and whether you have prior violations on your account.

1
Warning

You’ll receive a notification explaining which guideline was violated. Most first-time, low-severity issues start here.

2
Content Removal

The violating content is removed from public view. You’ll be notified about what was removed and why.

3
Account Restriction

Temporary limitations on your account—such as being unable to post links, upload images, or create new content for a set period.

4
Suspension or Ban

Repeated or severe violations may result in a temporary suspension or permanent removal from VialTalk.

Critical violations (harassment, fake reviews, impersonation, illegal content) may skip directly to suspension or ban regardless of prior history.

Reporting a Violation

If you see content that violates these guidelines, use the report button (🚩) on any forum post, thread, review, or message. Select the reason that best matches the issue and add details if you can. Our team reviews every report.

False or abusive reports are themselves a violation of these guidelines and will be treated accordingly.

Vendors

Vendor accounts have additional rules specific to their role in the community. These cover posting limits, promotional conduct, COA submissions, and anti-sockpuppet policies.
