COA Verification

Transparency starts with verified lab results. Here's how VialTalk holds vendors accountable.

What is a COA?

A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document from an independent laboratory that verifies the identity, purity, and composition of a peptide product. It typically includes the product name, batch number, testing lab, purity percentage, and any detected impurities or contaminants.

COAs are the gold standard for verifying that what a vendor sells matches what they claim. Without independent lab verification, there is no way to confirm product quality.

How VialTalk Verifies COAs

Vendors listed on VialTalk can submit COAs for each product they sell. Our admin team reviews every submission to check for completeness, consistency, and red flags. Approved COAs earn the vendor a verification badge on their profile, visible to the entire community.

This process is part of our broader mission to create a trustworthy marketplace where the community can make informed decisions based on real data — not marketing claims.

What to Look For in a COA

When evaluating a COA yourself, check for these key elements:

  • Independent lab name — the testing lab should be a recognized third-party, not in-house testing.
  • Batch/lot number — should match the product you received.
  • Purity percentage — reputable peptides typically test at 98%+ purity.
  • Test date — recent tests are more relevant than old ones.
  • Method of analysis — HPLC and mass spectrometry are standard for peptide testing.
