Hey guys,
Looking for some input on optimizing my current setup.
I’m currently running tirzepatide for weight loss and it’s been working well so far. To avoid muscle loss, I’ve been hitting the gym 3–5x per week (mostly lifting).
I’m about to start TRT (test cypionate) at what should be around 140 mg/week, split into daily microdoses.
My main goal over the next 6 months is:
Lose as much fat as possible
Maintain (or ideally build) muscle
I know tirz can make it harder to hold onto muscle due to appetite suppression, so I’m trying to stay ahead of that.
I’m considering adding a peptide to support:
recovery
muscle retention
overall body recomposition
From what I’ve seen, options like:
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin
Tesamorelin
seem to come up a lot, but I’m not sure what would pair best with my current setup.
Questions:
What peptide would you guys recommend stacking with TRT + tirz for my goals?
Is CJC/Ipamorelin enough, or is Tesamorelin worth it?
Anything else I should be thinking about to preserve muscle while cutting?
Appreciate any advice — just trying to do this the right way from the start.
ideally, HGH is your next most effective add.
if you are unwilling or unable to source GH then tesamorelin and cjc/IPA blends are your two next best options to pair with trt in a general sense.
after that there's a number of other peptides that pair well, but it all depends on your specific goals/problems you're trying to address.

I second this

I have to add make sure you are hitting your daily protein intake. With the appetite suppression you see with GLP's and the calorie deficit its very easy to loose muscle as part of the weight loss. I experienced this with Reta. My local nutrition shop has a body comp scale that showed me this and with proper protein I was able to gain back the muscle.
I have been on Tirz for 15 months, and TRT for about a year now. The TRT, combined with adequate exercise and protein intake stopped the unwanted muscle loss for me. I am down almost 125 lbs in my journey, and those are the main tools I have used for the job. I agree with the HGH being the next most effective stack, but if your concerns are sourcing or dependency, the CJC/Ipa or Tesamorelin route is the next best thing for most.
