Chonluten is a Khavinson short peptide bioregulator proposed to act through direct interaction with promoter-region DNA to modulate tissue-specific gene expression at low concentrations. In respiratory tissue it is described as regulating stress-response genes (c-Fos, HSP70), antioxidant enzymes (SOD), and inflammatory mediators (COX-2, TNF-alpha), restoring normal expression patterns in bronchial epithelium.
