Prostamax research monograph — the KEDP prostate Khavinson bioregulator and its single-group evidence base

Prostamax is a Khavinson peptide bioregulator — the synthetic tetrapeptide Lys-Glu-Asp-Pro ("KEDP", molecular formula C20H33N5O9, ~487.5 Da), targeted at prostate tissue.

Mechanism

Prostamax is one of the Khavinson "short peptide bioregulators." Rather than acting through receptor agonism, it is proposed to work by structural modulation of the DNA–protein complex — altering chromatin (deheterochromatinization) in cells from elderly subjects and potentially reactivating genes that are repressed with age, with tissue specificity toward prostate cell populations.

Research summary

The indexed literature here is genuinely on-topic (Khavinson chromatin and organotypic-culture papers, several of which name prostamax or the KEDP sequence). Reported findings include, in rat models, reduced prostate inflammation and swelling and slowed pathological remodeling in prostatitis; and, in human-lymphocyte chromatin studies, age-related deheterochromatinization effects.

Epistemic caveat: essentially all of this work originates from Professor Vladimir Khavinson's group at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology — a single institute and school of thought, with scarce independent replication. The data are mostly cell- and animal-based, with no controlled human trials.

Studied protocols

No standardized research protocol exists. Khavinson-tradition use is short courses (around 10-day cycles, repeated periodically) at low microgram doses, by injection or as sublingual "Cytogen" forms. These reflect the bioregulator usage tradition, not trial-validated dosing.

Stacking research

No controlled combination studies. Organ-specific bioregulators are often combined within the tradition, but combination efficacy has not been demonstrated in controlled research.
