Selank + DSIP ("Dream State") is a vendor blend of two neuropeptides — Selank (an anxiolytic tuftsin analogue) and DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) — marketed together for calm and sleep.
Blend of two neuropeptides: Selank (anxiolytic) + DSIP (sleep-related). Blend compound.
The two components act through mechanistically distinct pathways. Selank is a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the immunopeptide tuftsin; it stabilizes enkephalins and produces GABAergic and serotonergic modulation with reduced hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activation, reported to give anxiolysis without sedation, and associated with raised BDNF in anxiety research from the Institute of Molecular Genetics in Moscow. DSIP is a naturally occurring nonapeptide (first isolated in 1977) with pleiotropic effects including delta-wave sleep induction, circadian and neuroendocrine (HPA) normalization, and antioxidant activity. The blend's rationale is dual-pathway: anxiolysis from Selank plus sleep induction from DSIP, addressing the stress-and-insomnia loop together.
The combination is mechanistically complementary, but there are no controlled studies of the blend itself — "synergy" claims are vendor or secondary-source, not trial data. Each component individually is studied mostly in Russian and animal research; DSIP's human sleep literature in particular is old and mixed. Indexed grounding for the blend is thin (three general peptide-review documents).
No blend-specific protocol exists. Community practice uses each component's informal dosing (Selank intranasally or subcutaneously; DSIP subcutaneously at night). These reflect community practice, not research-validated dosing.
The blend is itself the stack; there are no controlled data on the pairing. See the individual Selank and DSIP monographs for component-level grounding.
Neither component is FDA/EMA-approved; both are sold research-use-only. There are no combination safety data, and component safety derives largely from Russian and animal research.
The mechanisms are complementary, but the combination is unstudied and the component evidence is preclinical and regional.
