Why and who is DRL?
Who is Double R Labs? That's Me Robert Robins
Pretty simple, because I'm a pretty simple guy.
I'm not going to tell you we're the best. I'm not going to tell you we're the biggest. I'm not going to tell you we're the cheapest. I'm not going to tell you we're the fastest nor that we have the best Testing.
We are just who we are.
What I can tell you is that every day I show up and do the best job I possibly can. I answer the emails. I pack the orders. I solve the problems. I make the decisions. When you reach out to DRL, you're talking directly to me.
Most days start around 5:30 in the morning and don't end until 10:30, 11:00, sometimes midnight. If I'm not spending time with my boys, I'm working on this business.
Not because I have to.
Because I care about it.
Another thing a lot of people may not know is that DRL is based right here in San Diego.
A lot of my customers aren't just customers. They're people I've met in person. We've lifted together, talked shop, grabbed coffee, met up for local pickups, or crossed paths somewhere in the local fitness community.
If you've been around the San Diego fitness scene long enough, there's a good chance we've run into each other at EOS Fitness, UFC Gym, 24 Hour Fitness, TG Gym, or somewhere along the way.
I enjoy the face-to-face conversations and building real relationships with people. That's something a website can never replace.
I've learned over the years that business is ultimately about people. Technology changes, websites change, products change, but relationships and trust are what matter most.
You don't have to take my word for it. Go read the Trustpilot reviews. Talk to people who've dealt with me. Ask people who've met me in person, spoken with me on the phone, or exchanged emails with me.
The one thing you'll hear over and over is that I'll do everything I can to help. I'll go out of my way for customers. If there's a problem, I'll work to make it right. Not because it's good business, but because it's the right thing to do.
That's how I was raised.
My dad taught me that your word is your bond. If you give someone your word, you stand behind it.
That's the standard I try to live by, and it's the standard I run this company by.
And let me be clear about something.
Mistakes will happen.
I'll drop the ball sometimes. Orders get mixed up. Inventory counts get missed. Carriers lose packages. Things happen.
I'm human.
What I've learned over the years is that it's usually not the mistake that defines you. It's how you respond to it.
It's how quickly you show up, take responsibility, take ownership, hold yourself accountable, and work to make it right.
Anybody can be great when everything goes according to plan. Character shows when things don't.
When mistakes happen, my commitment is simple: own it, communicate it, and correct it as quickly and professionally as possible.
No corporate nonsense. No fancy promises.
Just honesty, hard work, accountability, and doing the best I can every single day.
Research = Results.
