Ingredients
2 lb ground turkey (93/7)
4 bell peppers, diced
1/4 onion, diced
1 can tomato sauce
1 large 28 oz can diced tomatoes
2 tbsp minced garlic
3 cups beef broth
2 cups cooked rice
Garlic salt, to taste
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Italian seasoning or Italian flakes, to taste
Cheese for topping, optional
Directions
In a large pot or Dutch oven, brown the ground turkey over medium heat.
Add the diced bell peppers and onion and cook until they start to soften.
Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds.
Add the tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
Season with garlic salt, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste.
Bring to a simmer and cook until the peppers and onions are tender.
Stir in the cooked rice near the end and heat through.
Serve hot.
Top with cheese if wanted.
