Switched the scale from standard mode to athlete mode. Should have done this sooner.
Standard mode has been overcounting body fat for weeks — it's not built for someone carrying this much muscle at this weight. Athlete mode recalibrates the algorithm for higher muscle mass and lower body water ratios. The difference is significant: previous readings were sitting at 15–16%. New baseline in athlete mode: 12.5%.
That doesn't mean I lost fat overnight. It means the number I was chasing was already closer than it looked. The mirror has been telling me this for a while — the scale just wasn't keeping up.
New target range is 8–10% body fat in athlete mode. Once I'm there, the plan shifts. Fat loss stops being the priority. The focus moves to performance — strength output, recovery quality, and holding the leanness while building back work capacity. The cut has been doing its job. Time to start thinking about what comes after it.
